The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a study on Thursday stating that the nation’s childhood immunisation rates are at an all-time low.
The number of American kindergarten pupils who began the 2022–2023 school year exempt from at least one of the four state-mandated childhood vaccinations was revealed in the report:
MMR vaccination (measles, mumps, and rubella)
Vaccine against acellular pertussis, tetanus, and diphtheria (DTaP)
Polio vaccination (poliovirus)
The vaccination against varicella (which prevents chickenpox)
