A London-based artificial intelligence firm called NYOUM is combining social media and messaging with privacy protection to create a private social network that challenges the established models of Meta, X, or TikTok.
Communication on NYOUM is entirely multi-modal and intended for sharing inside an inner circle. It is centred on an AI-powered multimedia stream. The network uses a unique decentralised technological architecture and restricts content sharing in order to maintain complete privacy for chats. Users are asked to invite five of their closest loved ones who they wish to share their life with when they download the app. This piece is a great example of how NYOUM approaches social media using a contrarian strategy.
