The Radeon RX 7900M is doing remarkably well when compared to the mobile GeForce RTX 4090 according to recent Vulkan benchmarks. Considering the disparity between the two cards’ desktop versions, the slight variation between them is unexpected.
It was immediately clear when AMD unveiled the Radeon RX 7000 series in late 2022 that the RX 7900 XTX, the company’s top GPU, would be more akin to Team Green’s RTX 4080 than the renowned 4090. AMD’s RDNA 3 flagship debuted at $200 beneath Nvidia’s second-tier card as a result of the comparisons. But with the release of its new flagship mobile card last month, Team Red may be able to take the lead in laptop graphics.
